The black dot corresponds to the Black Prairie Wildlife Management Area (33°34’ N, 88°58’ W) where this study took place. B. Block (90x70 m) formed by three randomly assigned plots. C. Plot (70x30 m). Each plot corresponded to a different treatment (spring burn, summer burn, and unburned). D. 1-m2 quadrat. Each plot was sampled using ten 1-m2 quadrats separated by at least five meters.
