Daniel Botkin
Dr. Daniel Botkin is a professor emeritus in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He has more than 40 years of experience in ecological research, including research on ecological effects of climate change, use of remote sensing to study ecology from space, and the use of historical information to extend our knowledge of ecosystems past modern times. He is the author of 15 books, the most recent, The Moon in the Nautilus Shell: Discordant Harmonies Reconsidered, Oxford University Press, was released in September 2012.
