Laura Lawson
Laura Lawson, Ph.D., is Professor and Chair in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. Her research includes historical and contemporary community open space, with particular focus on community gardens and the changing roles of parks in low-income communities. She is author of City Bountiful: A Century of Community Gardening in America and co-author of Greening Cities, Growing Communities: Urban Community Gardens in Seattle (2009)
