Senior Restoration Ecologist at The Wetlands Initiative, 53 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, IL 60604, www.wetlands-initiative.org, gsullivan{at}wetlands-initiative.org. Dr. Sullivan has conducted research on the importance of biological diversity to the restoration of wetland ecosystems, with an emphasis on salt marsh and riparian restorations over the past 12 years. Most recently, he has been developing techniques for restoring a mosaic of wetland and prairie habitats on a large-scale in the U.S. Midwest
